Late Night, Date Night at Beltline Brewery & Kitchen
With craziness happening all week long, my husband and I decided for a spur of the moment Wednesday date night late dinner at Beltline Brewery and Kitchen in Buffalo’s storied Larkin District. I had stopped in here a few weeks ago, where I saw Owner & Kitchen Manager Greg Baker cranking out some fantastic looking food. So my interest in coming back was completely food driven. We rolled in around 8pm. With the happy hour crowd long gone, there was plenty of bar space to belly up to. I went right in for a flight while my husband opted for a nine ounce Everything is Fine Sour Ale. Going for the sour was definitely not his usual choice, but he ended up having second as the mildness in this sour was something he found enjoyable.

With it already being late and just trying to come down from the hectic day, we gladly took our time with the menu. I always like to coordinate our choices together so we can share. Like I said, this stop was totally food driven. I ended up picking two dishes; the Bunless Keto Burger and the Beyond Meat Chicago Dog. I ended up ditching the bun on the dog so that I could end all the flavors that were there. No lie, you couldn’t even tell this Brat was meatless. It was de-lish.

Beyond Meat Chicago Dog $10 Beyond Meat Bratwurst, Barrel & Brine NY Deli Dill, Weber’s Mustard, Sport Peppers, Onion Jam, Tomato, Celery Salt
My husband went with the Root Beer Sriracha BBQ Wings $12(which he had been eyeballing on our last visit) and the Chicago Dog $7.50. A Brooklyn Hot Dog Company Grass Fed Beef Frank, Barrel & Brine NY Deli Dill, Weber’s Mustard, Sport Peppers, Onion Jam, Tomato, Celery Salt. The wings he thought were pretty meaty with the perfect amount of charring to go along with it. The Root Beer Sriracha BBQ sauce was solid. My husband enjoyed them and said he will be back to try the 716 Sauce. The Chicago Dog was really good as the sport peppers brought all the flavors full circle.

All in all, it was a quick stop. But no worries as Beltline will be a regular stop in our local weekday brewery rotation. I can’t wait to stop back when the weather warms up and the garage doors will be open when the Larkin District heats up this summer. If you haven’t stopped here yet, add it to your list. It definitely won’t disappoint.
